Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Nguyen-Anh arrived in Quebec at the age of six. Raised in a family of nine, he was always attracted to the dust of life and observed the world with a nostalgic eye. He first completed a Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Montreal but after a year of residency in the U.S. he went on to graduate from the Film Production program at the prestigious Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. He has written and directed a number of award winning and internationally acclaimed short films. A founding member of GreenGround Productions, his interests lie in challenging narrative fiction and the never ending beauty of the moving image.
