Ryan Spence, originally from rural South Ontario, moved to Montreal in 2004 to pursue a life in cinema. His involvement in film and video production started at a young age creating projects with and for good friends and family. Through these projects it became apparent to Ryan that his passion for cinema came from the process more so than the product. For this reason Ryan continues be involved in many facets of cinema production but predominantly works as an editor, post-production designer, and production manager.
Ryan is currently in post-production for 2 feature films: one shot in Cape Breton and another in Montreal. His upcoming projects include a documentary on two young minds that biked across Canada in search of a Kerouac-style excitement and the production management of Aonan Yang's upcoming short fiction.
